Introducing the Storage Arrays
This chapter describes the characteristics and maximum configurations of an
SAxxx storage array, and how to determine the storage capacity of a storage
array. Chapter 2 contains complete technical descriptions of each storage array
discussed in this chapter.
1.1 Storage Array Characteristics
The characteristics of a storage array are determined by the following:
• Cabinet type
• Power source
• Storage devices installed
