the switch is off when clearing jammed material.
Blades coast after turn off. A moment of inattention
while operating the hedge trimmer may result in serious
personal injury.
Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the cut-
ter blade stopped. Proper handling of the hedge trim-
mer will reduce personal injury from the cutter blades.
DANGER - Keep hands away from blade. Contact
with blade will result in serious personal injury.
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces
only, because the cutter blade may contact hidden
wiring. Cutter blades contacting a “live” wire may make
exposed metal parts of the power tool “live” and could
give the operator an electric shock.
Please consider environmental inuences. Ensure
that there is good lighting.
The use of hedge trimmers involves certain risks.
Attention: Danger! Rotating machinery.
Before using the equipment clear the working area
of any foreign objects and be aware of foreign ob-
jects during operation of the machine!
Do not use the trimmer in wet weather and do not
use it to cut wet hedges. Do not wash down the
device with water. Do not use any high-pressure
cleaning devices or steam jet devices for cleaning.
Ensure that the motor of your hedge shears can not
be switched on by mistake when you put it down af-
ter work or when you are going to clean the device.
Never forget to unplug the mains supply!
Be aware of your responsibility as the user towards
third parties in the working area.
The hedge trimmer must be properly checked and
serviced. If the blades get damaged they should
only be exchanged in pairs. In the event of damage
from impact, specialist’s inspection is essential.
The lead of the charger and its components must
be checked before each use for visible defects (un-
plugged). If a defect is found, the charger should
not be used.
Ensure that the equipment is stored safely after use
in such a way that the blade cannot be touched.
For initial use of the hedge trimmer we would rec-
ommend that in addition to reading the operating
instructions, you also seek a practical demonstra-
tion from an expert.
WARNING - Only use with handle and guard prop-
erly assembled to hedge trimmer. The use of the
hedge trimmer without the proper guard or handle
provided may result in serious personal injury.
Never try to use an incomplete tool or a tool that
has been modied in a way that has not been ap-
proved.
Make yourself familiar with your surroundings (hid-
den objects, such as wire fencing) and pay attention
to possible hazards you might not hear because of
the noise of the machine.
ATTENTION! Only use the accessories or attach-
ments shown in the Operating Instructions. The use
of other add-on tools and accessories may set up
the risk of injury for you.
Battery tools and battery packs provided with mains
connection or non-isolated sources.
Your power tool is not insulated against electric
shock. To reduce the risk of electrocution, never
operate this power tool in the vicinity of any wires or
cables (power, etc.) which may be carrying electric
current. Electricity can jump from one point to an-
other by means of arcing. Higher voltage increases
the distance electricity can arc. Electricity can also
move through branches, especially if they are wet.
