To clean the pump
Unplug the pump from the electrical
outlet. Use a small soft brush or place it
If the pump fails to run:
• This pump has an overheating protection feature that will turn o
the pump when it becomes too hot while not covered with water.
It may take a few minutes for the pump to cool down once it is
submerged in water again. Note: the pump may cycle on and o
as it cools and heats if not covered with water.
• Pump may be air locked, unplug and plug pump in several times to
clear trapped air.
• Check circuit breaker, or try a dierent outlet.
• Check tubing for kinks and obstructions.
• Clean out any algae buildup.
• Remove the front cover & impeller cover to access the impeller area.
Turn the rotor to ensure it is not broken or jammed.
With low ow rate, the pump will spew or “burp”:
• Check the water level to make sure the pump is completely
submerged, water should always be above the min ll line (not
all water features include min ll line).

To keep water clean
