6. TRIGGER
The MANNLICHER ULTRA LIGHT comes with forward set trigger as
standard equipment, the MANNLICHER SCOUT and STEYR ELITE
with direct trigger. However, the rifle can be retrofitted with the
alternative trigger system at any time.
6.1 Forward Set Trigger
For setting, the trigger must be pressed forward against the spring
pressure. By slightly tipping the trigger it will return into its original
position releasing the shot.
Without setting, the set trigger can be used as shotgun trigger.
Uncocking:
If the weapon is cocked, move safety slide in lock position to
automatically uncock the rifle.
If the weapon is uncocked, pull through trigger.
To reduce trigger pressure, turn
the screw on the trigger in clock-
wise direction using a size .5
Allen key.
WARNING:
Turning the screw too far will
make cocking impossible.
