Water Regulator
Function of the water regulator
Regulates the incoming water pressure to 55 psi (3.8 bar) preventing flooding of the carbonator
tank in locations with high water pressure.
Failure of the water regulator
An unregulated water supply can overcome the 90 psi (6.2 bar) CO2 pressure in the carbonator
tank and prevent the proper absorption of CO
2 into the water resulting in poor carbonation.
Notes:
w Look for fluctuations in pressure (poor city water pressure)
w To increase pressure turn clockwise
w Dont assume plumber flushed pipes
w Regulators can be taken apart and cleaned
