ENERGY SAVING
View and change your T2•R’s settings by pressing MENU and selecting ‘Settings’. Please
be aware of the following Settings that can cause your T2•R to turn on or o automatically:
Reminder AutoTune
Reminders are displayed just before a programme is scheduled to start. The T2•R has an
option in the Tuning section of Settings called ‘Reminder AutoTune’ that is turned o by
default, meaning:
A reminder will only be displayed if the T2•R is on
You must choose to watch the programme before the reminder times out to change the
channel
If you don’t, the reminder will be cancelled and the channel will not change
When ‘Reminder AutoTune’ is turned on:
If the T2•R is in standby it will turn on for the reminder and the channel will change
automatically
If the T2•R is turned on the reminder will be displayed as normal and at the end of the
30 seconds the channel will change automatically
Auto Standby
The T2•R will go into standby automatically if no buttons are pressed for 3 hours. The
length of Auto Standby can be changed or it can be disabled altogether in the System
section of Settings.
To meet EU energy consumption requirements, the T2•R is initially set up so that:
The Loop Out socket on the rear of the T2•R is unpowered in standby. If you connect an
aerial cable from the socket to your TV’s aerial input and want it to work when the T2•R
is in standby, turn on ‘Loop Out in Standby’ in the System section of Settings. Please
note that power consumption will be increased.
Auto Standby is enabled (see above).
