Thank you for purchasing the MANHATTAN ® Serial PCI Express Card, Model 158169. Compliant with PCI Express 1.0a specifications, this card can be configured to achieve baud rates of up to 230,400 bps and takes advantage of PCI Express data transfer speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. By following the simple instructions in this manual, you’ll soon be adding dual DB9 ports to PCI Express-enabled desktop systems in order to connect and communicate with serial peripheral devices.
hardware installatioN 1. Turn off the power to the computer system. 2. Unplug the power cord and remove your computer’s cover. 3. Remove the slot bracket from an available PCIe slot. 4. Carefully align the card’s bus connector with the selected PCIe slot on the motherboard. Push the board down firmly. 5. Replace the slot bracket’s holding screw to secure the card. 6. Replace the computer cover and reconnect the power cord.
For Windows 2000 1. On the initial Found New Hardware Wizard screen, click "Next." 2.
