Introduction Thank you for purchasing the MANHATTAN® Drive Enclosure, Model 130172. With support for large-capacity 3.5” SATA drives up to 2 TB and SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps, this MANHATTAN Drive Enclosure helps optimize high-performance personal computer storage applications. A convenient built-in, one-touch backup feature helps quickly transfer, share and archive important data.
Installation 1. Set the Lock/Unlock switch on the end panel to the Unlock position. 2. Slide the cover of the Drive Enclosure off the base. Hole for screw on each side of base 3. Carefully place your hard drive in the base of the enclosure so a solid connection is made with the 22-pin SATA connector. 4. Use the included screws and screwdriver to secure the hard drive in place (see the image above), then slide the cover of the enclosure back in place. Place the device in the stand, if desired.
OPTIONAL: Formatting a New Hard Drive If you’re using a new hard drive with this device, you may need to format it before initial use. If so, follow the procedure above, then continue with the steps below. For more info on formatting drives, go to www.microsoft.com. 1. On your desktop, go to My Computer and select “Manager.” 2. When the Computer Manager screen displays, click “Disk Manager” in the leftside window. 3.
1. Insert the included software CD into your PC and open the folder “PCCLONEEX_LITE_1_82_01JMICRON.” Double-click “Setup.” 2. When the Welcome screen displays, click “Install” to continue. 3. When the license and warranty agreement displays, read it and click “Agree” to continue. NOTE: Most screens present the option of clicking “Back” to return to a previous screen or “Quit” to stop the installation procedure.
4. When the Setup will install to: screen displays, click “Install”; or click “Browse” to re-direct the file to a location other than the one listed. 5. Click “OK” to finish the software installation.
One-touch backup function These steps show how to use the convenient One-Touch Backup feature. 1. Once the software installation is complete, a PCCloneEX icon will display on the desktop. Double-click the icon to display the Quick Launch screen.
2. Press the One-Touch Backup button (refer to Hardware Installation) to display the Please select file(s) screen, then click “OK.” 3. Select the file(s) you want to back up from the list in the left-side window, then press the backup button again.
4. When the Files Backup screen displays, click “Start” and the system will begin to back up the selected files. 5. When the “Backup Finished” message displays, click “OK.
6. The backed-up files(s) should now appear in the right-side window.
