Thank you for purchasing a Manfrotto product.
The following warranty applies to Manfrotto Photo Accessories.
Manfrotto products are warranted to be fit for the purpose for which they have been designed,
and to be free from latent defects in materials and workmanship for two (2) years after their
initial purchase.
Manfrotto offers two periods of Warranty coverage:
- An initial Warranty period referred to as the "Standard Limited Warranty", for a period of two
(2) years or as otherwise required by the law applicable in the country in which the product is
sold (if longer), and
- A second period of Warranty cover referred to as the "Standard Limited Warranty Extension",
offered by Manfrotto as a special extension to the "standard" Warranty. Manfrotto’s "Standard
Limited Warranty Extension" is free of charge but does require registration and contains some
limitations as are more fully described below.
"Standard Limited Warranty".
The validity period of the Standard Limited Warranty is either two (2) years or as otherwise
required by applicable law in the country, state or region where the product is sold (if longer).
For example, retail sales in Italy are covered by a standard warranty valid two years from the
original date of purchase for a private purchaser and consumer and for one year if the purchaser
is a company or a VAT registered professional (Italian consumer goods legislation D.Lgs
206/2005 – Consumer Code).
The Standard Limited Warranty (or the Extension described below) does not cover any defects,
damage or costs caused by:
- misuse of the product and any subsequent damage. Misuse is defined by, but not limited to, the
cases described here below, in the additional documentation and in the instruction manual
included with the product;
- modification, alteration, repair or service of the product by anyone other than Manfrotto;
- physical abuse to, overload of, or misuse of, the product or operation thereof in a manner
contrary to the instructions accompanying the product;
- any use of the product other than that for which it was designed;
- shipment of the product to Manfrotto for service;
- failure to comply with care and maintenance instructions accompanying the product.
"Standard Limited Warranty Extension"
The Standard Lmited Warranty Extension (the "Extension") is a free warranty extension up to
ten (10) years from the date of purchase subject only to the registration requirments and he
additional limitations described below.
The Extension (except for the additional limitations described below) provides the same
coverage and operates with the same exclusions (as described above) as our Standard Limited
Warranty but provides for an extended period of coverage. The length of that extension is
