Add the tricolour LED to the circuit with the loudspeaker.
The micro-controller can toggle two colours. To do this,
the connectors MO7 and MO8 must be connected to TC1
and TC2. Of course, you mustn’t forget the common nega-
tive pole TC4, which is connected to M–.
Siren
12
The corresponding
programme is selected
by connecting A and C.
And don’t forget: The
positive pole must be
connected at the very end.
This programme does two
things at the same time:
It toggles the sound and
it toggles the LED colours.
This creates a siren like
the one on a police car
or ambulance. Change
the circuit so that, instead
of the red and the green
LED, the blue LED will flash.
This makes the effect more
realistic.
Build your own signal
generator, with which the
speed of the sound repetitions
can change using the variable
resistor. To do this, the rotary
knob is connected between
M+ and MI5. The colour LED
is also part of the circuit, and
the corresponding programme
is started by connecting A-D.
Turn the rotary knob all the
way to the left, the sounds and
lights change only slowly. Turn
it all the way to the right and
the repetitions will be very
fast. You can set any speed in
between, just as you like.
