B. To change the playback tempo
If you have not defined a tempo marking

In the Playback Controls, click the Tempo drop-down menu and choose the desired note duration.

Enter the number of beats per minute in the adjacent text box.

The Playback Controls give
you standard buttons for
controlling the playback
of your score.
Press on the Playback Controls to start playback.
Click on the Playback Controls and choose Leftmost Measure
to begin playback at the leftmost visible measure.

click and drag to spot-check.
Press
ctrl

shift
+
spacebar
+
to spot-check a single staff.
Click the speaker icon in the Playback Controls and
choose Leftmost Measure to begin playback at the
leftmost visible measure.
Tempo marking expressions override the tempo indicated in the Playback Controls.
