C. To type notes into the score with your
computer keyboard
Using your computer keyboard to type notes into the score
is faster than clicking. When you have typed the duration:

Press Enter to activate the Simple Entry
Caret, which is Finale’s entry cursor.

Use the up and down arrows
to choose the pitch.

Press Enter to enter the note.

Or, simply type the letter of the
desired pitch, 0 (zero) for a rest.

Press Shift-down arrow to move
the caret down an octave.
