 In addition, periodically check the ames visually during operation.

It should just
touch the top of the thermocouple tip for natural. Refer to Figures 28 and 30 for correct pilot
ame appearance.
If the pilot ame does not touch the thermocouple, then the main burner cannot function
reliably. Refer to Figures 29 and 31 for incorrect pilot ame appearance.
