37. Allow the manifold to cool completely.
Install the small 5/8” core plug supplied
using a suitable drift and hammer in to
the hole that the elbow was removed
from.
39. Locate the Engine Coolant Temperature
(ECT) connector clipped to the steel
coolant pipes in the engine valley.
Disconnect it by squeezing the release
trigger of the connector and pulling it
apart.
38. Here is the core plug correctly installed
in the bottom of the coolant manifold.
40. Locate the Engine Knock Sensor (EKS)
connector clipped to the steel coolant
pipes. Disconnect it by squeezing the
release trigger of the connector and
pulling it apart.
