186. After the initial test drive gradually work the ve-
hicle to wide open throttle runs, listen for any engine
detonation (Pinging). If engine detonation is present
let up on the throttle immediately. Most detonation is
caused by low octane gasoline still in the tank.
185. Start the vehicle for 5 seconds and shut off, once
again check for fuel leaks and supercharger belt align-
ment. Test drive vehicle for the fi rst few miles under
normal driving conditions, listen for any noises, vibra-
tions, engine missfi re or anything that does not seem
normal. The supercharger does have a slight whining
noise under boost conditions, which is normal. Check
intercooler reservoir as needed.
