3. Maintenance
(1) Before cleaning the system, be sure to switch the power o and pull the power plug from the outlet.
(2) When the unit is not in use, put its cover in place to prevent dust, paper dust etc accumulating on the
paper fold rollers.
(3) If paper dust or ink etc have accumulated on the paper fold rollers, it may cause wrinkles or improper
feeding. To prevent this clean them periodically as follows;
• Remove Table 1 and 2
• Clean the surface of the fold rollers using the cleaning kit to remove stains or dust
(4) If paper dust or ink etc are accumulated on the paper feed rubber roller and the paper separator
the paper feed performance deteriorates and the system becomes liable to paper jams or slipping.
To prevent this, clean them periodically as follows
• Clean the surface of the paper feed rubber fold rollers using the cleaning kit to remove stains or dust
• Move the paper feed shaft towards you in the order as shown in the gure then clean the paper feed
shaft
(5) Consumable products
• Paper feed rubber roller, rubber brake, paper feed separator used for the unit are consumable
products
• Fold rollers are guaranteed for 6 months
