Load and sort photos
1.
Start MAGIX Xtreme PhotoStory on CD & DVD 8 deluxe.
2.
Open the folder that points to your hard disk. This is located to the top right of the Media Pool,
and it is the location where you'll find the photos you wish to use.
3.
Load all the photos that you wish to use in your slideshow. In the Media Pool, every object used
is marked red. This way you'll know which files are already in the storyboard.
The space bar starts or stops playback. Each photo is shown one after the other in the video
monitor. Playback always occurs from the start marker above the photo bar. This marker can be
repositioned by clicking or by dragging with the mouse.
The order of photos can be changed easily via dragging & dropping them and move to them to
the correct position.
The photo bar runs in three different views (arranger modes): In
"Overview" mode, you can use the entire screen to sort your
photos. In "Storyboard" mode, you can view pictures one after
the other and specify the duration, fades, effects, track names,
etc. In "Timeline" mode, you can edit the progress of your
slideshow precisely and define the fade-ins and fade-outs
exactly.
Start and end markers
The section between the start (S) and end marker (E) above the storyboard or the first track of the
timeline will be played back in your show each time.
The start and end markers can be moved
in different ways by using the mouse. You
can move them to any position with drag
& drop or directly with a mouse click:
Left clicking in the timeline moves the
start marker, and right clicking moves the
end marker.
The cursor is a red vertical line which
moves from left to right during playback
to show the current playback position.
If you want to see play back your show, press the space bar or start the slideshow via the transport
console below the preview window.
Optimizing your photos
MAGIX Xtreme PhotoStory on CD & DVD 8 deluxe
provides a lot of different editing functions for picture and sound. Let's start with "Storyboard" mode:
