Publish Tab

You will need a web hosting company to host your website. MAGIX Online World is recommended for

this, although quite often your existing Internet provider will include 'web space' as part of your normal

subscription. Most companies also offer the ability to purchase your own domain name (e.g. like

www.xara.com) and have this set to point to your web pages. The dialog shown below contains MAGIX

Online World as a suggested hosting solution in its Profile list.

If you want Web Designer MX Premium to publish your finished website to your web space

automatically, so it's live on the Internet, you need to enter the access (FTP) details for your web space

on this tab.

Before publishing your website, you need to find out your FTP details from your web hosting company:

host address; username; password; full folder path - including sub-folders if necessary - that your web

hosting company requires you to publish to.

The first section of this dialog allows you to select a pre-configured profile. The profile list contains two

types of profile: those that you create yourself and which are stored on the computer you are using (see
