Adding widget placeholders manually
If you don't want Web Designer MX Premium to create a placeholder image automatically, you can set
one up yourself. First create a placeholder object (perhaps a rectangle of the appropriate size or an
imported image that you want to use to represent the widget on your page). Select the object and then
open the Placeholder tab in the "Utilities" > "Web Properties"
.
Or press the placeholder button on the Web properties flyout bar on
the top bar.
In this dialog you can choose to associate the selected object with a Flash file or other file, or with
HTML code that the dialog allows you to paste into the head or body of the web page. See the
Placeholder Tab section of the Web Properties Dialog
chapter for details on this dialog.
Normally you don't want to select the "Re-generate placeholder" option if you want to keep the
placeholder object you've created yourself. Selecting the option will cause your placeholder to be
replaced with an image generated from the code or file you have specified in this dialog.
