you have a domain name this is often the same as your domain name) and username. For example, for
MAGIX Online World users, the host address would be ftp.magix-online.com. If you chose the Magix
web hosting option in the profile list, the FTP host address is set for you automatically. For MAGIX
Online World users, the username is the same as your Online World login (FTP username = your email
address).
You don't need to enter the password at this stage if you don't want to. If it's missing you will be asked to
enter it each time you publish your website. For MAGIX Online World users, the password is the same
as your Online World password.
The optional Sub-folder lets you publish your website into a sub-folder, e.g. if you were publishing to the
xara.com domain (of course you can't do this) and wanted the web address to be;
xara.com/products/web_designer
Then you'd set a sub-folder of 'products/web_designer'. If you set a sub-folder this way then all the
pages in your website will be published to this folder.
Website URL
: Enter the full URL of your published website here if you would like to automatically generate an XML
Sitemap, which is a list of the pages on your website, helps search engines find all the pages in your site.
When you export your website, a file called Sitemap.xml is also created in the main export folder. If no
URL is specified here when you export your website, no sitemap is created.
Note:
Because a valid Sitemap must include the full URL of the website, a Sitemap can only be generated if the
website URL is available.
Include my website in the user gallery: This option is only enabled if you have added a valid website
URL. If you would like your website to be included in a Xara or MAGIX user gallery, click this
checkbox. After publishing your site, Web Designer Premium generates a thumbnail of your website and
places it in a gallery of websites created by Web Designer Premium users. Click the More Info
button to learn more.
Save details in current document
The FTP Details you've entered are associated only with the current open document. If you switch to a
different document you'll see the FTP details fields become blank, unless you've already entered details
for that other document. By default the FTP details are NOT saved with the document. That means each
time you load the document and want to publish it, you'll need to either re-enter the FTP details, or select
a profile from which the details should be copied.
Select the Save details in current document
checkbox if you would like the FTP details to be saved along with the document. That means whenever
you load the document, the FTP details will be loaded too and you can re-publish immediately.
Save password in document
If you chose to save the FTP details in your document, this option becomes enabled next to the
password field. It controls whether or not the FTP password is also stored in the document, along with
the other FTP details. If you choose to do this, you can re-publish the website without having to re-enter
the password.
But of course, so can anyone else who gets a copy of your design file! Therefore for normal use it's not
recommended that you turn this option on, because of the associated security risk of someone else
getting hold of your document and then being able to write to your web space, potentially overwriting or
deleting your website.
Save in profile
If you want to publish more than one website document to the same web space, or if you don't want
FTP details stored in your design document, you will probably want to have the FTP details stored on
