'http://yourname.magix.net/public/sub-folder', then you'd set a sub-folder to be 'sub-folder'. If
you set a sub-folder this way then all the pages in your website will be published to this folder.

If you want a sitemap generated for your website, or if you want your site included in the Xara or
MAGIX User Gallery, you need to enter the full URL of your published website in the Website
URL field. See the Publish tab help for information on sitemaps. The Include my website in
the user gallery checkbox is only enabled if you have added a valid website URL. If you select
this option, after publishing your site Web Designer Premium generates a thumbnail of your
website and places it in a Xara or MAGIX gallery of websites created by Web Designer
Premium users. Click the More Info button to learn more.
7.
Select the Save details in current document checkbox to have the publish details you have
provided saved with the current document. When you enable the Save details in current
document checkbox, the Save password in document checkbox also becomes selectable.
Select this checkbox to also save the FTP password with the current document, if you are sure
that is what you want. This is not recommended because it means anyone who gets a copy of
your design file can publish to your website without knowing or entering your password!
8.
You can also opt to save the publish details on your computer in a named profile. Click the Save
in profile button and enter a suitable profile name. Now you can select the profile from the
profile list at the top of the dialog, so you can use them in other documents without having to
re-enter them.
8.
Note: You can delete a profile by selecting it in the Profile list and clicking the Delete button
next to it.
9.
Normally leave the Re-publish changed files only checkbox selected. This makes
re-publishing much quicker in most cases because only files changed since the last publish are
re-published.
10.
Click the Explore web space button to browse, view and delete files you have uploaded to your
FTP server.
11.
Click OK. Web Designer Premium displays a dialog confirming the publish details that it will use
to publish your website. Click Publish.
Setting up the Export folder
Once you've set your Publish details, you can then click the Publish
icon on the top bar (on the Export HTML flyout bar) or use the menu
option "File" > "Publish Website
".
1.
Web Designer Premium displays a dialog confirming that you want to publish to the server and
username you have provided. Click Publish.
2.
If you haven't exported your website yet, Web Designer Premium prompts you to export your
site to your local disc and displays the Export dialog.
3.
Choose a folder to which to export your website data. If you haven't yet defined a folder, simply
select an existing folder or create a new folder and select it. Then click on Export.
Important
: If you have not set any specific page names in the Page & Layer Gallery, then the name you exported to
last will be used as the basis for all the pages in your website. E.g., if you open a template website, and
export this as 'test' to your file system, and now publish this, it will be published as test.htm to your web
server, and all additional pages will be test_2.htm, test_3.htm etc.
index.htm is the usual name for the first page of a website.
Transferring data
1.
After you have clicked Export (or Publish), Web Designer Premium displays a small window
that shows the progress of data transmission.
2.
As soon as the transfer is finished, you can open a browser window and navigate to the URL of
your published website. MAGIX Online World users can open their website via their Online
