Remove scen
e start
This command cuts a scene at the point where the start marker is
positioned, and deletes all material that precedes the start position
simultaneously.
Shortcut: Z
Remove scene end
This command cuts a scene at the point where the start marker is
positioned, and deletes all material behind the start position
simultaneously.
Shortcut: U
Remove scene
If you want to cut a scene out of a movie retroactively, this option
automatically moves all objects, titles, and transitions on all tracks
forwards so that no gaps result.
Objects on other tracks which project into the area of the selected scene will
not be moved automatically; they will remain at the current position.
Shortcut: Ctrl + Del
Split movie
This command divides the movie into two individual movies at the
position of the playback marker. The current arranger retains the
portion that is located in front of the playback marker.
www.magix.com
The remain
ing part will be erased from the current arranger and turned into
a new movie, which can be found in the "Window" menu.
Shortcut: Alt + Y
Musical cut adjustment
If you have edited your background music with the beat detection wizard
and a musical tempo was provided, then you can adjust the cuts to change
automatically in time with the beat using this command. All of the cuts (even
transitions) will be moved to correspond with quarter note positions.
Shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + H
Range
MAGIX Video Pro X3 provides object-based functions as well as "band-
oriented" editing functions. These always refer to the whole project from the
first to the last track as well as to the area between the start and end
marker.
