The "classic" MIDI channel of MIDI
notes and events is not important,
it is replaced by the ReWire MIDI
bus system. For each track a MIDI
object is able to control a ReWire
MIDI BUS. This means that all
events of a MIDI object apply to
the track for this ReWire bus,
independent of the channel
number the events originally had.
Multi-timbral MIDI objects, like
those created in the MIDI file
import, cannot be played correctly
with ReWire. You can, however,
access the ReWire client across
multiple tracks on various ReWire
MIDI buses.
Only a few ReWire clients support direct opening of the client application via
the host application (Samplitude 11.5 Producer). In this case, you will have to
start the client application manually. You can do this by starting your client
application as you would normally. It then automatically recognizes the host
and starts in a special client mode.
