PDF Export Filter Settings: Objects Options

The OBJECTS tab in the PDF Export Filter provides a series of settings that can be used

to specify how design elements are rendered in a PDF document.

Bitmap Compression

Choose the compression scheme for bitmapped images that appear in the document

by selecting from the options in the dropdown list. Supported compression schemes

include:

NATIVE (use the bitmap compression in the document), NONE (do not apply

compression),

JPEG and FLATE.

Flate is lossless compression, the same compression used in PNG graphic files or zip

archives.

FLATE can give better results if the PDF contains lot of schematic drawings

with less colors, but not recommended for PDFs with many photos.
