Bouncing (internal Mixdown)
Menu: CD
Use this function to convert the objects within a selected range to a new WAV file. The selected
objects in the VIP are replaced with the track-bounced version. This is very useful to combine multiple
objects into a single object so that the function to create track markers automatically
can be used.
If the VIP contains 24-bit objects, a dialog box will ask you whether the new file will be created as a
32-bit Float or 16-bit file.
16-bit (Integer):
The resulting file is a 16-bit resolution audio file. This is most useful if a CD is created that does not
contain any 24-bit objects.
However, if 24-bit objects are used, the bouncing process converts them to 16-bit material by using the
dithering settings.
32-bit (Float):
The resulting file is 32-bit (Float) resolution audio file. Use this option if the VIP also contains 24-bit
objects that are to maintain their high resolution.
