Object Menu
Menu Reference
Contrary to the menu Edit all functions in this menu exclusively manipulate selected objects in virtual
projects. Selected have no effect with these functions. Ranges are used to determine insertion points or
cut positions of objects. When inserting material into a virtual project, the range beginning has the same
function as the play cursor –
the material is inserted at the range beginning.
New Object
A new object is generated, using the audio data
from the last activated Wave project.
Cutting Objects
several object related copy/paste operations
Cut Objects
All selected objects are cut from the VIP and
transferred to the VirtClip.
Copy Objects
All selected object are copied from the VIP and
transferred to the VirtClip
Insert Objects
The objects in the VirtClip will be inserted at the
play cursor position.
Delete Objects
All selected objects will be deleted.
Extract Objects
All NOT selected objects will be deleted.
Duplicate Objects
All selected objects will be duplicated.
Duplicate Objects multiple
Multiple copies of all selected objects are copied.
A dialog with additional selections is displayed.
Split Objects on Marker Position
The object will be split into parts at VIP marker
positions.
Split Objects
Objects are separated at the selected range
borders or the play cursor position.
Trim Objects
The object borders are trimmed to the selected
range borders.
Mute Objects
The selected Object will be muted
Lock Objects
All selected objects will be protected from
moving, fading and/or size changes.
Unlock Objects
All selected objects will be unlocked.
Lock Definitions
Selects options for object locking.
Object to Playcursor Position
Moves Object to actual play cursor position
Build Loop Object
Generate an object with a loop range.
Hotspot
The current play cursor position is made a
reference point.
Select Objects
All objects in selected range are selected.
Switch Selection
Invert the selection.
Group
All selected objects build a group.
Ungroup
All selected objects will be ungrouped.
Object Background Color
Sets a background color for objects.
Object Foreground Color
Sets a foreground color for objects.
Object Name
Changes the name of objects.
Wave Editing
Opens the associated Wave project for
destructive editing.
