3. If the log-on page of your IP security camera opens auto-
matically, access for the IP security camera has been set
up automatically in the router. You can then continue the
installation with section 5.7., Set up Domain name,.
4. Where automatic set up via the UPnP function is not pos-
sible, the respective access must be set up manually. This is
referred to as Port forwarding. During this process, a sing-
le access is directly passed on to the IP security camera.
The below example shows the settings to be selected in the
router to set up such an access. As the settings of the router
can differ considerably, a general description cannot be pro-
vided at this point. Please check in the router documents how
individual devices can access the router. This information can
generally be found under “Port Forwarding“.
We also have provided more detailed descriptions for diffe-
rent router models of how to set up Port forwarding. These
descriptions can be found on Internet page http://www.
ipc-info.com.
If your router is not listed, please contact our Service Hotline.
The number is provided on the warranty card.
5. To start the configuration program you require the local
network address of your router. You can check the local
network connection by searching for the IP security ca-
mera in the program supra IPCam Config and then dis-
playing the network settings using option “Address“. Note
down the address listed as" Standard gateway.
6. Further information for activating the router can also be
found in the Operating Instructions of your router. For this,
enter the local network address of your router in the Brow-
ser and open the configuration menu. Next, open the Port
forwarding menus in the Configuration menu.
In the below example, this can be found under Applications &
Games“ as “Simple Port forwarding.
In the provided example two IP security cameras are connec-
ted to the router, one camera with the name IPCamera1 and
the local network address 192.168.1.110, a second camera
with the name IPCamera2 and the local network address
192.168.1.111.
Only the external port 81 is set up for the IP security camera
IPCamera1. TCP and UDP are the allowed protocols although
only TCP is required. These cameras are accessed via the In-
ternet using address http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:81 (with xxx.xxx.
xxx.xxx being the public IP address of the router).
