• CheckthattheAC/DCpowersupplyispluggedintoaproperandworkingAC‐
mainsoutlet.
• CheckthattheDCpowerconnectorisfirmlyinsertedallthewayintothepower‐
inputjackontheCOREmodule.

RED‐flashing.
Firmwaremaybecorrupted.Backupfirmwareisbeingusedbutafirmware‐update
(withMAGui)shouldbedoneassoonaspossible.
VIDindicatordoes
notlight.
TheCOREmodulehasnotdetectedthataVIDEOmoduleispresent.Ifyouarenot
usingaVIDEOmoduleinyourconfiguration,thenthisconditionisnormal.Otherwise:
• CheckforpropermatingoftheVIDEOandCOREmodules,includingthesmall
alignmenttabson
thebackandbottomoftheassembly.
• Checkthatthedockingscrewsareproperlyaffixed.

• CheckforpropermatingoftheAUXandCOREmodules,includingthesmall
alignmenttabson
thebackandbottomoftheassembly.
• Checkthatthedockingscrewsareproperlyaffixed.

TheCOREmoduledoesnotrecognize,ordoesnotsupport(viafirmware)thecurrently

Thetwomostcommoncausesare:
• Fiberinterconnectionisnotcorrect.RemembertoalwaysconnectTXRXbetween
anySFPopticalmoduleports.
• Videosourcedeviceordisplayisnotpoweredon(orisinstandbymode).
Displaydevicehas
asolidBLUE
screenimage.
Errorcondition:SourcedeviceisprovidingHDCP‐protectedcontent,buttheconnected
displaydeviceisNOTreportingasbeingHDCP‐compliant.
Solution:Tryswitchingtounprotectedcontent,orchangethedisplaydevicetoonethat
properlysupportsHDCP‐protectedcontent.
Displaydevicehas
asolidYELLOW
screenimage.
Errorcondition:SourcedeviceisprovidingHDCP‐protectedcontentandtheconnected
displayISreportingasbeingHDCP‐compliant.However,thefiber‐linkbetweensource
anddisplayisnotaduplex(2fibers)connection.
Solution:Ensurethatyouhaveaduplexfiberconnection.

Important:ForHDCP‐protectedcontenttoplay,itisrequiredtoalwayshaveaduplex
connectionthroughouttheextensionpath(includingtheVoyagerMatrixswitch).When
usingaVoyagerMatrixswitchwithHDCP‐protectedcontent,ensureyourswitchis
configuredwith“HDCP‐I/O”cards.

VGA‐TXsourceis
shiftedleft/rightor
top/bottom
Errorcondition:TheVGA‐TXdidnotfindtheleft/right(ortop/bottom)borderofthe
sourcevideo.
Solution:PresstheF2buttononthefrontoftheVGA‐TXCOREmodule.Thiswillcause
theVGA‐TXtore‐synchronize
withtheincomingvideosignal.Thisprocesswillbemost
successfuliftheimageisanall‐whitescreen(noblackborderswithinthedisplayarea).
