Video module: VGA-TX
TheVGA‐TXmoduleisessentialforsystemsthatstillcontainoneormoreanalogsources,alongwithmodern

TheVGA‐TXmoduleacceptsawiderangeoflegacyanalog‐videosignalformats:
VGA(RGB+HV)video,typicallyfromPC’sandMAC’s.
Compositevideo(NTSC/PAL).
Componentvideo(YUV/YPbPr).
Y/C(S‐Video).

Therearenouser‐configurableoptionswithregardstotheoperationoftheVGA‐TXmodule.However,thereis
an“auto‐adjust”functionwhichisapplicabletoVGAinputsonly(notcomponent/composite/S‐video).The
auto‐adjustisinvokedsimplybypressingtheF2buttononthefront
oftheCOREmodule.
Intheeventthatmultiplevideosourcesareappliedsimultaneously,thefirmwareadoptsastrategyofscanning
foravalidvideosignalateachport,andautomaticallyselectingthe“highestlikelyquality”porttodisplay,in
thisorder:
1. VGA(potentiallythehighestquality)
2. Component (YUV/YPbPr)
3. Y/C(S‐video)
4. Composite(NTSC/PAL)(potentiallythelowestquality).
Ifanactivevideosourceisremoved,thefirmwareautomaticallyselectsthenext‐best‐qualityinputsignal,ifany
