TheVGATXmoduleacceptsawiderangeoflegacyanalogvideosignalformats:
VGA(RGB+HV)video,typicallyfromPC’sandMAC’s.
Compositevideo(NTSC/PAL).
Componentvideo(YUV/YPbPr).
Y/C(SVideo).

TherearenouserconfigurableoptionswithregardstotheoperationoftheVGATXmodule.However,thereis
an“autoadjust”functionwhichisapplicabletoVGAinputsonly(notcomponent/composite/Svideo).The
autoadjustisinvokedsimplybypressingtheF2buttononthefront
oftheCOREmodule.
Intheeventthatmultiplevideosourcesareappliedsimultaneously,thefirmwareadoptsastrategyofscanning
foravalidvideosignalateachport,andautomaticallyselectingthe“highestlikelyquality”porttodisplay,in
thisorder:
1. VGA(potentiallythehighestquality)
2. Component (YUV/YPbPr)
3. Y/C(Svideo)
4. Composite(NTSC/PAL)(potentiallythelowestquality).
Ifanactivevideosourceisremoved,thefirmwareautomaticallyselectsthenextbestqualityinputsignal,ifany
