DMX And Art-Net – Remote Control
In addition, you can control MADRIX
®
PLEXUS remotely. It is possible to let the
unit perform certain actions by using sending DMX or Art-Net directly to the
unit. This is especially useful to control stand-alone playback from a distance.
Remote control via DMX means to connect an external DMX unit to one of the
XLR ports of the PLEXUS. This port will no longer be available for DMX output.
Remote control via Art-Net means to connect an Art-Net unit to the Ethernet
port of MADRIX
®
PLEXUS. In this case, both XLR ports (and Art-Net) will be
available for DMX output.
On the device, navigate to the menu ‘Remote Control’ à ‘Remote Options’
to configure direct remote control. Monitor incoming control data using the
PLEXUS menu ‘Remote Control’ à ‘Monitor Remote’.
