horizontal and vertical displacement, angle indicator and
length. For example, when the pointer tool is selected,
additional indicators appear for horizontal and vertical
displacement.
The line tool activates additional indicators for line length
and angle.
Check out the Align Points command in the Points menu.
This will take the selected points, and automatically align
them horizontally or vertically (depending upon which they
are closest to being already). It’s a great time saver for
lining things up.
Since Fontographer 4.1 allows the user to save a font with
a name other than the filename, there have been occasions
for confusion as to what the filename of the font is. The
default is for the font to be viewed by the font name. The
font name is specified in the Font Info... dialog. For those
who keep font names and filenames the same, this
method works fine. If, however, you have many versions
of the same font name, we recommend that you change
the View by... option under the Windows menu to
filename. This will enable you to always know at a
glance which file you are presently working on.
