Indicates the beginning of a script comment. Any characters that appear between the
comment delimiter (
//) and the end-of-line character are interpreted as a comment and
ignored by the ActionScript interpreter.

Example
The following script uses comment delimiters to identify the first, third, fifth, and seventh
lines as comments:
// record the X position of the ball movie clip
var ballX:Number = ball_mc._x;

// record the X position of the bat movie clip
var batX:Number = bat_mc._x;
// record the Y position of the ball movie clip
