If you modify the
partitions or file
system when the
drive is connected
via USB, keep in
mind that the LAN
disk is only able to
access the first
partition and o
nly if
it’s formatted using
the FAT32 file
system.
Formatting the drive
will erase all data
and settings of the
LAN disk as well!
For the safe
removal of your
drive and to assure
that no data is lost,
always follow the
correct unplug
procedure.
3.2 Installation on a Mac using USB
3.2.1 USB Connection
Before connecting the device, make sure the hard drive has
been installed properly and the power supply has been
connected to the main socket. If the drive has been pre-
installed and setup already, just connect and turn it on.
