Tracktion 4 Reference Manual

To import material into your edit from the browser:
Navigate to the le you wish to import.
Drag the le into your edit (Fig. 3.2.4).
Note that as the le moves over the track area, a shadow image shows where the clip will be
placed, and a speech hint located above the shadow will give the exact insert time position.
When you have the clip located at the target insert point, release the clip.
The browser mode can also quickly add audio les, or even entire folders of les, to your loop library. To
do this:
Navigate the le that you wish to add to your loop library.
Right-click on an audio loop, or folder containing audio loops.
You will be presented with a pop-up menu. From this menu, select the option
set tags.
Select the pop-up menu option.
A window will be displayed where you can specify genre tags for your loop.
Select the genre, tempo, and related tags for your loop le, and click OK.
You will be asked whether the loop le should be copied into your loop directory, or whether the
directory that contains the loop should be added to your loop library directory list. The former
option will simply insert the selected le in the library, whereas the latter will add all audio les
located in the same folder as the selected le.
