4.8 Delivery Opening

The width and location of the delivery opening affects the width and conﬁguration of the windrow.

The decision to widen or narrow the center delivery opening, or to double windrow, should be based on the

following factors:

• Windrower pick-u p capability

• Type and yield of c rop

• Weather conditions (rain, humidity, wind)

• Drying time available

Refer to 4.10 Wind row Types, page 79 for the strengths and weaknesses of the various windrow conﬁgura tions with

respect to these factors.

4.8.1 Adjusting Delivery Opening on H eader with Manual Deck Shift

Both decks can be positioned to vary the delivery opening

from 60-5/8—69-11/16 in. (1540–1770 mm) for the 15 ft.

header and from 67-1/8—76-11/16 in. (1720–1950 mm)

for20to40ft.models.

1. Loosen bolts (A) on both decks.

2. Slide decks desired amount. Retighten bolts (A).
