MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
7. Tension the draper, with tensioner bolt (A) and follow
the directions on the decal for proper draper tensioning.
8. Disengage the reel and header safety props.
9. Start the engine and lower header and reel.
10. Run machine to verify that draper tracks correctly.
11. If adjustment is required, refer to 6.7.6 Adjusting
Header Draper Tracking, page 184.

Removing Wide Drap er Deflectors
To remove
draper deflector, follow these steps: Left end removal is illustrated.
1. Raise ree
l fully and lower header to ground.
2. Shift dec
ks to allow work space at one end of header if hydraulic deck shift installed, otherwise move decks
manually
after shutting d own windrower.
3. Stop eng
ine, remove key, and engage reel safety props.
4. Open end
shield.
5. Loosen n
uts (A) on cutterbar until retainer (B) is loose.
