MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
6.3 Maintenance Requirements
The following maintenance schedule is a listing of periodic m aintenance procedures, organized by service intervals.
Regular maintenance is the best insurance against early wear and untimely breakdowns. Following this schedule
will increa se ma chine life.
For detailed instructions, refer to the specific headings in this section. Use the fluids and lubricants specified, Refer
to 6.2.2 Recommended Fluids and Lubricants, page 11 5.
Log hours of operation and use the Maintenance Record o n the next page to keep a record of scheduled
maintenance. Make copies of the M aintenance Record page as required.
Service Intervals: The recommended service intervals are in hours of operation. Where a service interval is given
in more than one time frame, e.g., “100 hours or Annually”, service the machine at whichever interval is reached first .
NOTE:
Recommende
d intervals are for average conditions. Service the machine more often if operated under adverse
condition
s (severe dust, extra heavy loads, etc.).
CAUTION
Carefully follow safety messages. Refer to 6.1 Preparation for Servicing, page 113 and Maintenance Safety
(1 Safety, page 1).
