Roll Spacing
The roll spacing is easily changed with an
adjustment bolt (1) on each end of the
header. A roll gap gauge (2) is located on
each side of the header, so the operator
can easily see where the roll gap is set. The
ease of adjustment and the ability to check
it encourage the operator to keep the rolls
in adjustment. The easy roll spacing ad-
justment allows the operator to maintain
ideal roll adjustment with less time and ef-
fort, increasing overall machine efficiency.
Conditioner Drive
The conditioner is driven through a spur
gearbox directly through u-joint drive shafts.
The gearbox is continually lubed, so main-
tenance is reduced. The u-joint driveshafts
to the conditioner rolls are very durable, de-
signed to withstand the rolls continual open-
ing and closing. The conditioner drive em-
ploys a continually lubed gearbox for mini-
mal maintenance and long service life.

Feed Angle
Conditioner Roll Feeding Angle
The augers feed the conditioner rolls at a con-
sistent angle. Both auger and conditioner rolls
are attached to the header, so head float does
not change the angle of the crop entering the
conditioner rolls. The consistent feed angle re-
duces the chance of crop hesitation and bunch-
ing, resulting in smoother, quicker drying wind-
rows.
