Initial Setup:
Equipment Conditions: Materials/Parts:
• Engine off. • Three cotter pins
• Trailer parked on flat, level surface. • Eight lockwashers
• Left and right front trailer tire removed (see
paragraph 4-73). Tools/Test Equipment:
• Trailer brakedrums removed (see paragraph
4-66). • General mechanic's tool kit
• Trailer brakeshoes removed (see paragraph
4-67) .
a. REMOVAL
1. Disconnect parking brake cable assemblies (12 and 13) from brakeshoes.
