Control Elements Relevant to Operations
Steam Valve = Open by clicking on the steam line (Activate Locomotive).
Fill the Boiler = Water can be fed into the boiler by clicking on this wheel.
Empty the Boiler = The boiler can be emptied by clicking on this wheel.
Water Level Sight Glass = shows the water level in the boiler.
Fire Box = Coal can be put into the fire box by opening the latter.
Steam Valve = Opens the steam line by clicking on this wheel. It must also be opened to fill the boiler.
Boiler Pressure = Shows the boiler pressure after the steam line has been opened.
Cylinder Pressure = Shows the pressure in the cylinders.
Reverse Wheel = Changes the direction of travel and the speed.
Grate Shaker = For removing slag from the fire box.
Rocker Grate = For removing slag from the fire box.
Release Steam = Reduces the amount of steam in the boiler.
Brakes = The locomotive is braked according to the setting of the brake lever (ABV not effective
here) when the brakes are activated. This can be done with the right control knob or
with the stylus.
Locomotive Functions = The functions for the locomotive are turned on and off with this button by
means of the stylus.
Supply Indicator = These operating supplies are required to run the locomotive. If one of the supplies
becomes depleted, the locomotive switches to a crawl. The locomotive cannot be
controlled normally until the operating supply is replenished. Replenishing the operating
supplies varies according to the mode of operation.
Semi-pro: By pressing the symbol for a diesel fueling station (not limited by location)
Pro: Without an engineer’s cab, by pressing the symbol for a diesel fueling station
(not limited by location)
With an engineer’s cab, by pressing the operation indicator in question (not
limited by location)
With an engineer’s cab and with use of a locomotive refueling facility (at a
railroad maintenance facility, limited by location)
Specialist: With an engineer’s cab, by pressing the operation indicator in question (not
limited by location)

Reversing Direction = Changing direction of travel. The direction of travel can be changed only at
speed level 0.
Engineer’s Cab Window = Shows a fictitious route as well as on request fictitious facilities for repl-
nishing fuel and sand.
Return = Leaving the engineer’s cab.
