* For maximum results, the ProVa Shower System should be installed following the outlined steps in
sequence below*
1. Pre Installation:
Materials needed: ProVa Pan with ProVa Mat Pan Liner, ProVa Drain, ProVa Board, ProVa Seal, ProVa
Fasteners, ABS/PVC glue, premium modified thin set mortar.
Tools needed: Razor knife, power screw driver with Phillips head bit, measuring tape, marking pen/pencil,
¼”x3/8” square notched trowel, ¼”x3/16” V-notched trowel, jig saw, putty knife, and a straight edge.
Examine the shower area to make sure it is level, structurally sound and clean of all foreign debris. It is
always recommended that the installation area be vacuumed and wiped down with a damp cloth prior
to installation.
Recommended Installation Sequence:
2. ProVa Shower Pan Assembly:
Measure and dry fit the ProVa Pan and ProVa Drain to the area. Using the existing drain hole in the
ProVa Pan, mark the drain location on the substrate. Drain hole should be cut at this time in the
substrate or if a drain hole exists, center the hole in the ProVa Pan over the existing drain and cut the
edges of the ProVa Pan if needed.
Affix the ProVa Pan to the substrate with a premium modified thin set mortar using a ¼” x 3/8” square
notch trowel. We recommend troweling the back of ProVa Pan to help ensure complete transfer of
mortar. It is recommended to check for complete thinset transference to the back of the ProVa
Shower Pan by lifting first panel.
