O2
Requirements/Setting up:
• If you have connected the O2 via USB, Reason will automatically
find it if you click the Auto-detect button on the Control Surfaces
and Keyboards page in the Preferences.
• To use the O2 with Reason you need to select preset 2 and make
sure this isn't changed from the factory settings.
• You can reset the O2 to the factory default settings by holding
down the Preset “+” and “-” buttons while switching the keyboard
on. Note that this will restore all presets to factory defaults, remov-
ing any changes you have made!
About the default mapping:
D The Data Entry Fader C9 will control the master level, where appli-
cable.
D For devices with patches, buttons C18 and C19 select previous/next
patch.
D Keyboard shortcut variations are used for devices with many pa-
rameters.
D Mixer 14:2
There are eight keyboard shortcut variations, for controlling channels 1-8 or
9-14, respectively. The knobs control channel levels, pans, Aux1and Aux2 and
the buttons control mute or solo.
Fader C9 always controls the master level. Knob C7 controls the Aux 1 or 2
Return levels depending on selected variation.
D Mixer 6:2
There are three keyboard shortcut variations: Levels, Pans and Sends. Fader
C9 controls Master Level, knob C8 control Aux Return and the buttons con-
trol Mute in all variations.
D Thor
There are four keyboard shortcut variations: Filters, Env, Osc & Amp and Mod-
ulation. The buttons control the same switch parameters in all variations. The
knobs control continuous parameters in the respective variations. Knobs C1-
C2 control Rotaries 1 and 2 and buttons C12-C13 control Buttons 1 and 2
on the Thor panel.
D Subtractor
There are three variations: Filter, Amp & Osc. The fader and knobs control pa-
rameters in the respective parameter groups for each of the variations.
D Malström
There are three variations: Osc A, Osc B and Filter. The fader, buttons and
knobs control parameters in the respective parameter groups for each of the
variations.
D NN-19
There are two variations: Filter and Env & Mod. The buttons and knobs control
parameters in the respective parameter groups for each of the variations.
D Dr. REX
There are two variations: Filter & Osc and Env. The buttons and knobs control
parameters in the respective parameter groups for each of the variations.
D Redrum
There are three keyboard shortcut variations, determining the function of the
knobs. The knobs control Level, Pitch or Length depending on selected varia-
tion.
D MClass Equalizer
There are two variations: Low & Para 1 and Para 2 & Hi. The buttons control
the same parameters in both variations. The knobs control parameters in the
respective parameter groups for each of the variations.
D Scream 4 Distortion
There are two keyboard shortcut variations: Damage & Cut and Body. The
knobs control parameters in the respective group for each of the variations.
The buttons control various switch parameters.
D BV-512 Vocoder
Five variations are used: Basic and Band 1-8/9-16/17-24/25-32. In the first
variation the knobs and buttons control the main parameters. In the other vari-
ations the knobs control the levels of the vocoder bands.
D ReGroove
Knobs C1-C4 control A1-A4 Groove Amount and knobs C5-C8 control A1-
A4 Shuffle.
