TonePort KB37
Requirements/Setting up:
The TonePort KB37 must be set to the ‘Reason 3’ preset in order to
work properly with Reason’s ReMote codec. You can select this
preset in the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices console’s MIDI Settings.
About the default mapping:
D Since the TonePort KB37 has only 4 assignable knobs and 4 assign-
able buttons, most of the Reason devices use keyboard shortcut
variations to map the controls.
D The KB37 transport controls are mapped to the transport controls
of the reason sequencer.
D For devices that feature Patch Select, the Patch dec button selects
next patch for target device and the Patch inc button selects previ-
ous patch.
D The KB37 performance controllers (Mod Wheel, Pitch Bend etc.)
control the corresponding parameters in the Reason target device.
D Mixer 14:2
There are ten keyboard shortcut variations: five for Levels and five for Pans.
Knob 4 controls Master Level and the buttons control Solo in all variations.
D Mixer 6:2
There are four keyboard shortcut variations: two for Levels and two for Pans.
Knob 4 controls Master Level and the buttons control Solo in all variations.
D Thor
There are two keyboard shortcut variations. In the first variation knobs 1 and 2
control Rotaries 1 and 2 and buttons 1 and 2 control Buttons 1 and 2 on the
Thor panel.
D Subtractor
There are six keyboard shortcut variations: Filters & LFO 1, Filter & LFO 2,
Env 1, Env 2, Osc 1 and Osc 2. The knobs and buttons control parameters in
the respective group for each of the variations.
D Malström
There are six keyboard shortcut variations: Filter, Osc A, Osc B, Filter 2, Osc A
2 and Osc B 2. The knobs control parameters in the respective group for each
of the variations. The buttons control Modulator A and B on/off and Osc A
and B on/off.
D NN-19
There are four keyboard shortcut variations: Filter, Filter 2, Env & Osc and Env
& Osc 2. The knobs control parameters in the respective group for each of the
variations. The buttons control various switch parameters in NN-19.
D NN-XT
There are two keyboard shortcut variations. Only the knobs are assigned to
parameters in the respective variation.
D Dr. REX
There are four keyboard shortcut variations: Filter & Osc, Filter & Osc 2, Env 1
and Env 2. The knobs control parameters in the respective group for each of
the variations. The buttons control various switch parameters in Dr. Rex.
D Redrum
There are six keyboard shortcut variations, in which the knobs control levels,
pans and pitch, respectively for drum channels 1-8. The buttons control Mute
in all variations.
D MClass Equalizer
There are four keyboard shortcut variations: Lo Shelf, Param 1, Param 2 and
Hi Shelf. The knobs control parameters in the respective group for each of the
variations. The buttons control various switch parameters.
D MClass Compressor
There are two keyboard shortcut variations. The knobs control parameters in
the respective variation. The buttons control various switch parameters.
D Scream 4 Distortion
There are three keyboard shortcut variations: Damage & Cut, Damage & Cut
2 and Body. The knobs control parameters in the respective group for each of
the variations. The buttons control various switch parameters.
D BV-512 Vocoder
There are nine keyboard shortcut variations: Basic and eight Band variations.
In the basic variation the knobs and buttons control the panel parameters. In
variations 2-9 the knobs control the band levels.
D RPG-8
There are six keyboard shortcut variations. In variations 1-2 the buttons and
knobs control various panel parameters and in variations 3-6 the buttons con-
trol pattern steps on/off.
