TranzPort
Requirements/Setting up:
• To use the TranzPort with Reason, you need to make sure the con-
trol surface is set to Native mode. Please see the TranzPort docu-
mentation for details.
• Reason will automatically find the TranzPort if you click the Auto-
detect button on the Control Surfaces and Keyboards page in the
Preferences. If you add the TranzPort manually, you need to specify
both MIDI Input and Output ports.
About the default mapping:
There is no default mapping for individual Reason devices. Instead, by default the
TranzPort is used for controlling transport and sequencer functions.
However, you can use Remote Overrides to map TranzPort controls to the desired
device parameters if needed.
• The display shows the name of the target sequencer track in the
current song (the track with master keyboard input). The lower part
of the display shows a peak level meter (for outputs 1-2 on the au-
dio hardware interface) along with the current song position.
• The Data Wheel moves the song position, in steps of one quarter
note (or one 1/16th note, when Shift is pressed).
• The main transport buttons at the front of the device control the
corresponding functions on Reason's transport panel (Play, Stop,
etc.).
The remaining controls have the following default mappings:
