Installation Instructions
1a. If installing bathtub in alcove, strip entire alcove
intended for bathtub to bare studs (not required for
tile wall installation). Studded alcove should be free of
nails, staples or screws. If needed, cut drain opening in
suboor with jig saw (not included) to accommodate
waste pipe. Ensure waste pipe is centered per stud and
oor layout. Make sure studded alcove is of proper
size and plumb. See stud and suboor layout for
dimensions. Check suboor is level.
1b. If installing bathtub into an island, the height from
the suboor to the nished top of the island must
be exactly 17-1/2 inches. For oor cutout and drain
location, refer to the image in step 1a.

* Optimum GFCI receptacle locations. Actual
locations may vary depending on your stud layout.
NOTE: Heated soaking bathtub has a combined pump
and heater, requiring only one GFCI receptacle. One GFCI
receptacle is required for whirlpool without in-line heater.
A second GFCI receptacle is required if whirlpool has an
in-line heater.

3. Trial t bathtub. Be sure all sides are level and the feet
preassembled on bathtub are rmly on the suboor
of alcove or oor of island. Note: Some shimming may
be required for nal installation. See step 6a and 6b for
details.
4. Install 110-volt, 20-amp ground fault circuit interrupter
outlet (not included) at least 4 in. above the suboor
in alcove or island to the stud wall underneath the
installation site for bathtub. Note: This outlet is for the
pump/heater (Optional in-line heater sold separately for
whirlpool models. A second GFCI receptacle required
for Whirlpool with optional in-line heater). All wiring
should be installed by a licensed electrician. WARNING:
If bathtub is not properly wired, there is danger of
electrical shock and/or re.

2. Pretest before installing! Jet assembly could
loosen during transit. Place bathtub in a location
that you have access to all sides. Cap the drain, plug in
pump/motor, and ll the bathtub with water (1-2" above
the jets). Press the on/o button to turn on pump/
motor. Allow jets to run for 10 mintues. Inspect all jets,
ttings, and connections for leaks. After 10 minutes,
press the on/o button to turn the pump/motor o.
Allow the bathtub to set for another 10 minutes and
inspect all ttings. If a leak is found, call customer
support at 1-800-458-9036 (M-F 8am to 4:30pm EST)
before moving on to the next step. Fully drain the
bathtub.
