• Allow bathtub to reach room temperature before installation

• Do not use plumber’s putty Will cause product failure and void warranty Use a high grade silicone

caulk for all necessary locations

• Do not use sulfuric acid to unclog drain. Will cause product failure and void warranty.Use plunger or

snake to clear obstruction.

• Building materials and wiring should be routed away from the pump body and any other heat

producing components

• Bathtub must be tested for leaks before nal installation Although your unit has been factory tested,

damage may occur during shipping or handling (See Page 3 Step 3)

• Keep instructions for warranty information

• A second GFCI receptacle is required if whirlpool bathtub has an in-line heater. One GFCI receptacle is

required for whirlpool bathtub without in-line heater or heated soaking bathtub.

STEP 1. PREPARING ALCOVE • Strip to bare studs if not using a Lyons one-piece wall. • If installing a Lyons one-piece wall, then bathtub and one-piece wall must be installed onto drywall. • Bathtub stud pocket should be constructed as shown. • Do not install bathtub on open floor joists. Subfloor must be clean, smooth and level (Fig 1). Sub-floor must be installed in the stud layout. • Cut hole in sub floor to accommodate drain.

STEP 4. INSTALLING BATHTUB • Before trial installation of bathtub, check to be sure all hoses, fittings and jet connections are tight. Be sure flex hosing with air release valve is installed with the tip placed above the water line, otherwise leaking will occur*. (Fig. 4) Flex hosing installation may vary depending on unit. • Trial fit bathtub in prepared alcove. DO NOT LIFT, PULL, OR DRAG BY HOESES. With bathtub sitting flat on sub-floor, check with level on top of bathtub.

TROUBLE SHOOTING PUMP/MOTOR/JETS MOTOR WON'T START LOW FLOW 1. Check to see if on/off switch or pneumatic switch is in "on" mode. 2. Check for loose connections, blown circuit breakers, GFCI or fuses. 3. With the power off at the circuit breaker, check manually to see that the motor shaft has free movement and lacks obstruction. 1. Turn GFI breaker off. Check for any obstructions in pump that impede impeller. 2. Check for low voltage - undersized gauge of wire. 3.
