Leak Test Procedure:
Createasoapysoluonof1partsoa pand3parts
water.
Confirmthatallcontroldialsareinthe off posion.
Turnonthefuelsupply.Fornaturalgas,turnthe
valve
handle1/4turntoalignwiththegasflow.
ForL.P.,turnthecylindervalvedialcounterclockwise
onefullrotaon.
Applythesoapsoluongenerouslybypaintbrush
or
squirtboleonallconneconsandfings.
Ifbubblesappearto“grow”onanyoftheconnec‐
ons,
youhaveagasleak.IMMEDIATELYturnoffthe
gas
supply.
Fixing a Gas Leak:
Shutoffthegassupply
Turnallgrillcontrolstothe“ON”posiontopurge
the
grillofanygasbuild‐up,thenturnthecontrols
back
“OFF”.
Wash off thesoapysoluonwith coldwateranddry.
Tightentheloosejoint, orreplace thefaultypart
with
manufacturer‐recommendedreplacement
parts.
DONOTaempttorepairtheL.P.cylindervalveifit
is
damaged.Theonlywaytosafelyresolveadam‐
aged
cylinder is toREPLACEIT.
Repeattheleak testtoensure that noleaksarepresent.
Finally,checkalltheburnersforproperoperaon.Make
surethecontrolknobsturnfreelyandcompletelythrough
theirfullrange.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure you know where the main gas supply shut-off
valve is located.
Finally, for safety and for proper use and care, you must
