There are a few must-check safety precauons to consider before
you use your smoker. Please be sure that:
• All packing materials and e-downs have been removed
from the burner. (See INDEX: “Unpacking & Assembly” for
further details.)
• You have plugged in the electric cord. (See INDEX: “Electric
Requirements” for further details.)
• A qualied plumber has performed a leak test on all the
ngs that supply fuel to your smoker.
• You have downloaded and set up the Sonoma Smoker by
Lynx™ App. (See INDEX: “Downloading Your Sonoma
Smoker by Lynx™ App for iOS and Android devices.”)
• You have connected your Sonoma Smoker by Lynx™ to
your home’s wireless network. (See INDEX: “Connecng
Your Sonoma Smoker by Lynx™ to a Wireless Network.”)
BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE
PRE-SMOKE CHECKLIST
AT EACH NEW SEASON
Do you smell gas? If yes, shut everything o and call the gas company
or a qualied plumber to check for leaks. If not, please connue.
Is your cooking area free and clear of any combusbles besides your
food that might ignite? If not, please clear the area before starng
the lighng process. If yes, please connue.
If you are using a portable propane cylinder, is it connected and leak
tested? If not, check the connecon before connuing. If yes, please
connue.
Before each use, complete the checklist.
Remove the smoker cover.
Press the ON/OFF buon. The blue LED light that surrounds
the switch will indicate that the smoker is energized.
Aer 5-20 seconds the menu will appear on the touchscreen.
The smoker hood must be open during lighng and closed
during pre-heat or set temperature will not be achieved.
HOW TO LIGHT YOUR SMOKER
During Manual Cook, temperature is controlled by
the touch pad of the Sonoma Smoker by Lynx™.
You control the temperature and me to cook your
meal.
You can adjust the me and temperature via the touch
pad.
Note that entering manual mode will ALWAYS cancel
Recipe Mode .
Timed Cook allows you to smoke without a recipe by
ulizing the Sonoma Smokers MyChef™ technology
to select a cooking me, internal temperature and food
temperature.
To enter Timed Cook mode:
 Open the Sonoma Smoker App
 Select the Smoker icon
 Select the smoker oven temperature
 Set the me
 Set the desired food temperature
 Set a reminder me
 Select "Cook Now"
To cancel a Timed Cook:
From the app select cancel on the top hand right side.

CHECKLIST BEFORE EACH USE (FOR YOUR SAFETY)
At the start of each new grilling season you should remove the
smoker racks and check the burner, orice, and valves for
obstrucons.
Spiders and insects oen nest in these areas of the smoker and can
disrupt airow, causing damage to the smoker and personal injury.
Also, check all hoses, wires, and ng for damage, abrasion, wear
and tear.

Press Manual on the top right hand corner of the
Sonoma Smoker by Lynx™ app .

Recipe Mode .
You control the temperature and me to cook your
meal by adjusng the aributes on the app installed on
your smart device.
