Maintenance Guide
Please follow the cleaning material manufacturer’s instructions. Damage caused by improper
treatment will not be covered by product warranty. In addition, pay attention to the following points:
• Regular cleaning can prevent mineral build up on faucet spout.
• Carefully read the cleaner product label to ensure the cleaner is safe for use on the material.
• Test the cleaner on a small area before using on the entire surface.
• Use a mild detergent such as liquid dishwashing soap and warm water for cleaning.
• Do not use abrasive / harsh chemical when cleaning the  xture as they will damage and dull the
 nish.
• When using spray cleaners, spray  rst onto a soft cloth or sponge. Never spray directly onto the
faucet as droplets can enter openings and gaps and cause damage.
• After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any cleaner residue.
Service the Valve and Pressure Balance Cartridge
NOTE: To maintain the performance of the shower valve. It is recommended to clean the pressure
balance cartridge at least once a year. More frequent cleaning is needed if the water has high mineral
content.
1. Remove shower trims (#16, #17, #18)
2. Turn o water supply at the stop valves (#7 and #8) by using a large at head screwdriver and turn
the valve clockwise to shut o the water.
3. Remove the threaded nipple (#12), stem extension (#11), and cartridge nut (#10) and pull out the
cartridge (#9) with a pair of pliers.
4. Use commercially available hard water scale remover to clean the valve. Dilute the solution as
instructed on the cleaner. Soak the valve for about 5 minutes in the solution and clean it with a soft
brush. Thoroughly wash o any cleaning solution and debris on the cartridge.
5. After cleaning, follow the above steps in reverse order to assemble the valve.
