Battery Installation/Replacement 2 "AAA" type battery • To use the unit, you must install batteries. • Open battery cover as illustrated. Install or replace two new batteries, making sure the polarities (+ and -) on the battery match the polarities on the case. • Replace battery cover. • If the Low Battery indicator “ “ appears on the display, both batteries must be replaced. • “AAA” alkaline batteries or equivalent are suitable for this blood pressure meter.
Measurement NOTE: Unit measures on inflation. • To start the measurement Press the “ON/OFF” switch. • Initial display. • Pumping. • Measuring and Beeping sounds. • Once the blood-pressure measurement has stabilized, pressurization is discontinued and the air in the cuff is automatically let out. • The buzzer sounds for about 2 seconds, and the high and low blood pressure are respectively displayed one above the other.
• Blood pressure values and pulse rate are alternately displayed. The unit will continue to display the measurement until power is turned off. • Turn Power off Press the “ON/OFF” switch to turn off. NOTE: To discontinue a measurement for any reason, press the “Power/Start” switch. This causes the “wrist cuff” to rapidly deflate. Subsequent Measurement When a measurement needs to be made again, the time between 2 measurements must be at least 10 minutes.
Setting the Clock Enter the setting mode by pressing and holding the MEMORY key for over three seconds. The display will show a blinking year. Press the ON/OFF key to adjust the year when it is blinking. Then press and release the MEMORY key again, the month will apear and blink to be adjusted, then the date, hour and minute will follow up as you press and release the MEMORY key again.
Memory Recall • You can recall stored data by pressing the “Memory Recall” switch at any time, EXCEPT while taking a measurement. • Up to 42 sets of measurement results can be stored in memory. Memory cell No. 1 is always used to store the newest set of results. • When pressing the “Memory Recall” switch, the memory cell number is displayed. The stored measurement results (systolic/diastolic blood pressure) are then displayed.
Description of Display Marks DISPLAY MARK HI CONDITION/CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION The pressure measured was less than 20 mmHg. Please measure again. The pressure measured was higher than 300mmHg. Please measure again. Pumping error. Please check the cuff and try again. The pumping pressure is higher than 300mmHg. Please measure again. Batteries are weak.
